Creativity has always been part of my soul ever since
I can remember. Early on in my primary years taking art classes and doing all sorts of imaginative creations inspiring my innate talent for color and working with my hands.
Much of what inspired me came from collecting antique jewelry in my teens! I would gather unique antique gems, then recreate them into beautiful versatile chain belts. These original pieces of art were my "inspiration" that led me on my faithful path into the future which I was destined into creating "jewelry for your waist" with "old world charm & design"!
See for yourself why "jewelry for your waist" with "old world charm & design" has become known as an "exotic treasure". Each piece of jewelry is very detailed and offered in brass, Silver OX and sterling silver (upon request) with an antique finish, to give each accessory that old world charm of the past. I use Swarovski crystals, European hand cut German glass and millifiore (hand blown Italian glass). As well as, natural stones such as abalone shell, mother of pearl, florite, black tourmaline, smokey quartz and amethyst among others.
Each creation is designed from an original thought then handed over to an artisan, which in turn brings my vision to life. Inspired by places I have traveled, each treasure is named after origins I have been, therefore, giving each a name of that special place such as "Positano", then "Capri", "Sorrento", "Amalfi Coast", "Milan", "Florence", "Tuscany", and "Pompeii." I try to depict colors & give a creative twist to what I saw on a buckle which becomes almost like a painting. The manner of hand making each buckle from an original drawing is a very timely process and must not be rushed. Every unique creation reflects the pain staking detail and attention to fit & finish. All chain belts & accessories are extremely intricate and bring forth the old world quality & design that has been lost over time. The artistic flow continues on the backs of each buckle. They are either forged, or I add a whimsical flower or duplicate the front of the buckle in a simple way. The clasp is vintage "circa 1950" and has become my signature to the Bella-Juls line. It provides easy assemblage and removal, while giving each ensemble a lot of style & charm.
All chain belts are designed with versatility in mind and created in 3 sizes (oversized) so that the crystal or metal dangle, with inspirational messages added to the end of the chain, (when worn in belt loops) hangs 3 to 4 inches. All belts are designed to fit in belt loops and can be worn around a blouse or even wrapped loose around a dress making a plain outfit into spectacular!
"Pompei" which is my newest edition, begins a new journey for me into my inspirational line of accessories. All chain belts, key chains & pendants offer an inspirational message that brings forth encouragement and guidance on your lives path! All accessories are like a piece of distressed furniture as they will not be a carbon copy every single time. Each adornment will have a personality of it's own - that's the beauty of "Bella-Juls-Beltz and accessories"! All merchandise is made in the "USA" at our manufacturing facility in Rhode Island and accompanied by a special "faux suede" pouch with company logo for storage purposes.
